Based on the 1918 design of Danish naval architect Gerhard Rønne, Runa IV is our first mesh multi-masted yacht. The Trudeau Runa IV has a full compliment of luffing "Trusails" - jib, staysail, main, mail topsail and mizzen. She has a full well-appointed cabin for relaxing and lounging belowdecks.

Simply a Masterpiece
This has to be one of the very best boats in SL for sailing.
Years of refinement in the Trudeau line have resulted in what is arguably the finest classical yacht in SL right now. Sim crossing is smooth, handling is easy and intuitive and even the sounds are rich and mellow.
The Runa is truly beautiful - lines, sail plan, textures and fittings are all recreated with extraordinary care, skill, patience and an obvious deeply-felt love for sailing. All of these harmonize with each other rather than compete for your attention.
IMHO, Trudeau yachts have a quietly elegant, "analog" feel; the textures are warm and soulful, and everything is beautifully balanced. There is no plethora of "working features" that seems to degrade the actual sailing experience (especially sim crossing) with some other non-Trudeau boats. There is no need to subconsciously "brace" yourself for audible and visual "jarring" at sim crossings with the Runa, You stay relaxed and smiling while the "flow" remains almost unbroken.
Yes, there are other boats that allow more poses and have more things to click open and closed, and that's undoubtedly fun. But, at least in my opinion, no one beats Trudeau for immersing you in the pleasure of virtual sailing, and for me, this is the best Trudeau boat yet.
