This is a replica of a 1960's GE Console Stereo / Record Player. It's full-perm so you can drop in your own songs or use the ones provided. Just name them 01yoursong 02yoursong 03yoursong etc. It has a few animations and a record drop sound.
I can't belive this is free !!
This is one of my favortire pieces of furniture! I absolutly love it and it really plays music and sounds like an old record player. Totally awesome! Thank you for making this!
Crecent Moon
great if you're looking for a certain kind of vintage stereo console
I think this is the only vintage record player with changer arm/spindle in SL. Good job and thank you for the freebie.
A-mazing
What is this my lucky day?! Came here to look for a working vintage record player and ... is this for real? GRAB IT PEOPLE. Grab_it. Thank you, you beautiful human being!
Super nice freebie!
It's actually scaled correctly, a rarity in SL! If you rez a 0.30 x 0.30 prim and put it where the record is, the record is about that size. Vinyl LPs are 12" in diameter and 12" is about 30cm. The unit looks very nice in general but it lacks materials. Considering wood furniture from this era had a very smooth finish, all you need to do is make the "shiny" texture blank, then adjust the numbers and color of the shine. It's modifiable so no problem. You can also tone down the orangeyness of the wood. I did. There's a wood texture on it but most of that saturation comes from the prim color so it's very easy to regulate to get it exactly how you want it. The faces are very smartly divided so getting the look just right is not only possible but super easy if you have some basic skills. The door opens and the turntable flips out, all scripted to move when you click and it works well. If you want a hi-fi, look no further and don't waste your money. This is it right here.
Love this.
Low primmed for the detail, free, looks totally retro so it's a great score!
