------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately, there will no longer be significant updates to the ship due to the various limitations within SL; namely the 4000 prim-count limit of unlinked objects, and homestead region prim counts. I am very happy with the current state of the ship and will continue to provide small updates that focus on visual improvements and functionality.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The RMS Titanic has come to Second Life! This is an *extremely* detailed & historically accurate to-scale mesh model of the RMS Titanic. Every railing, every lifeboat, every window is placed and designed exactly the same as it was on the real Titanic.
90% of this ship is mesh, and the rest is normal prims (no dreaded sculpties!). This ship was created in Maya over a period of 8 months, and took several more months to bring to life in Second Life.
Features of the Ship
------------------------
HUD Controlled Features:
-Livery - The Titanic had 2 other sister ships, Britannic and Olympic, I included the option to change the ships paint scheme to these other ships. Britannic was a hospital ship and has a hospital ship livery, and Olympic was a troop ship for a short time, and has a Dazzle Camoflauge paint scheme. And ofcourse, the original Titanic paint scheme is included.
-Lights - I put a lot of effort into putting good lighting effects on the ship - every porthole, every window, has its own lighting effect. For best effect, view at night.
-Morse Lamps - These are the two small lamps on the bridge wings, which can be activated and will flash sending morse signals when in distress.
-Smoke - this is the option to enable/disable the smoke emitting from the smokestacks.
-Steam - this lets you enable venting steam coming from the funnels (caution: very loud!)
Other Details and Features
--------------------------------
-An extremely accurate model of the Titanic, to scale.
-Grand Staircase (Currently boat deck + A deck, B deck)
-Controlable Lifeboat Covers
-Very High Detail Mesh & LODs
-Custom HD Textures
-Low Prim Count for the huge amount of detail
-Flare Rockets
-Detailed Bridge area
-EasyRez System
This ship can fit in a single region, and can also be supported by a homestead region. However, the ship must be rezzed rotated diagonally across the sim in order for it to fit.

this ship rocks! :D
cant wait to see the updates (and maybe some more parts in mesh :D )
congratulations for the work, its amazing. i'll have fun to play with it =)
Awesome!
This is wonderful, so far, and I can't wait for the final release! I love the attention to detail and I hope to see most, if not all of the decks explorable. Very much worth the money.
Some details that need correction:
The clock in the Grand Staircase needs to be changed a bit because the wood work around it is wrong.
The Titanic sailed under the American flag, not the British flag. And the flag at the rear of the poop deck needs to be fixed because one side is waving the wrong way.
I'm not entirely sure on this, but I think the dips in the ship at the front and the back (just after the forecastle deck and before the poop deck, which in both cases is right behind the masts) might need to have their floor lowered about half a meter.
You probably already knew those things, but I'm just double checking with you.
The most beautiful thing I've ever seen in SL
This is the single most beautiful thing I own, hands down. This build is flawless, and left me and my friends speechless. Even if you have nowhere to rez it (I don't), buy it before the price goes up. But even at it's eventual 18k price point it's a steal!!!
The most romantic and amazing thing ever.
Oh my GAWD!! OH MY gawd! It is THE Titanic!
I saw it on the Blake Sea and was blown away. Completely.
When I found out that you could buy the whole thing, and although there probably is NO WAY that I EVER will be able to rezz it, I got the money and bought it. I see it as encouragement to an excellent and truly amazing builder. There just is nothing that even comes even close to this in space and time and I have been here for five and a half years and seen the most there is to see.

100 year anniversary of Titanic - April 15 2012
I bought this ship because I have always been a Titanic buff. I am hoping to see my purchase soon but right now I dont have the space to rez it. If I had input on future updates I would suggest things like the Marconi room sign on the door of the marconi room, things like that. Just little things that add to the realisim of the ship.Suite #'s on the room doors, etc.Once I have a chance to rez her and see her, I will write another review of my thoughs and suggestions.Thank you for creating this "ship of dreams" and im looking forward to the updates.
Amazing !!!
Positively Splendid, AWE INSPIRING, spent hours walking its decks alone when i first got it in total astonishment, dazed and dazzled !
