The Riot Shield comes with the following features:
♦ Shield Mode. Press Page Down or C to activate your shield and block bullets/objects from opponents. This will increase your chances on surviving. Using the shield mode is limited to a maximum of 10 seconds with a 5 seconds recharge time.
♦ Easy-to-use menu. Simply left-click to open it up.
♦ 10 colors/textures. (Black/Gold/Brown/Blue/Pink/Green/Gray/White/Red/Police)
♦ Light switch and color changer.
♦ Flash light-blinding system. Turn on the lights and point it towards the enemy (while you are in shield mode) in order to blind your opponents and make it much harder for them to hit you. The blinding light flashes and follows them so they cannot see directly at you in mouselook. (Limited to 20M range.)
♦ Sling/Draw option: Choose between wearing the shield on your back or on your left arm.
♦ Re-sizable by both menu and manually. (If done by menu, slung version gets changed simultaneously!)
♦ Bash/Melee: Comes with a gesture with hot-key Q to bash opponents. (Linden Damage compatible) For this to work make sure to have "Pressing Letter Keys" set to "Affects Movement" (top right of your "General" preferences window (CTRL + P)).

Good for looks and roleplay
There are a few minor animation bugs relating to priority, but as I use an unusual AO related to my appearance, the block use of the shield works fine and that was all I cared about. It is probably not the best to use for an actual combat sim, but for an aesthetic addition to a military, swat, or police type look it's a decently good choice at a fair price, so in my opinion it was worth buying, even if I am not in love with it; I am overall pleased.
Unreliable
If you are trying to get this shield do not get it to block bullets, that feature does not work very well and there is not indicator to tell you if your shield is actually up and working. The flashlight feature works well but when it comes to blocking bullets I do not recommend this shield. If you do get this shield only get it for its looks but move different shield scripts within it.
Looks great but!
this shield looks amazing but sadly its animations are to low priority and my AO's animations quickly take over, but like I stated in the start the shield it self looks great and the animation problem should be fixable so 3 stars from me :)
completely worth it!
with a blinding set of headlights, and the ability to block countless rounds of fire with no fail, this is the riot shield to end all shields.
