Bought this in 2019 and forgot to leave a review (sorry!). It's the most perfect dock light of it's kind imo. Beautifully made - as with all What Next creations. Thank you.
very nice
These also have excellent LOD, lowered mine to 1.5, cammed way out, and they stayed strong. I added directional light to mine for more of a focused lighting effect, but they're nice as-is as well, great at night.
Low prim, nice looks, useable light script, reasonable price.
Thanks for sharing.
Adorable
exactly what my dock needed! Cute as can be- You can never go wrong when you shop at What Next!!!!
A neat looking streetlight(2 prims)
I agree with the previous review. A neat looking streetlight that is just 2 prims(!) which comes in two versions, one with a sign and one without. There is a menu to change the colors of the lamp cap, the sign text and you can switch the lamp on and off. The textures are okay. I used it to line a forest road for a scene. I tried to make a lamp that looks as good as this one, but never got it to be low prim and good looking at the same time.
There is a bit of a down side though, which might be something that affects all mesh. After 20 meters it starts to degenerate and after 40 meters it is gone. This at Ultra settings. As said that seems to affect more mesh objects or even all, so when you might put things in between to keep a 'realistic' look. Maybe adding a high mesh prim version to the package might help? I am fine with it however.. works well for my scene.
