Bright Blue & White Curtains

This items switches between blue drapes and white curtains. In particular, the item provides blue drapes for individual windows with only a single prim for the window. Specifically, the drapes include a script to open and close the drapes for the window to which it has been applied. Click on the window after applying the prim and you are presented with a menu for six choices (see last image):

(1) Closed;
(2) Open;
(3) Tinted Glass;
(4) Semi-Opaq;
(5) Opacity; and
(6) Reset

Closed shows blue drapes covering the window (main picture). Open shows a clear transparent texture that appears to be invisible for completely open curtains. Tinted Glass displays a dark tinted glass texture on the inside and glass block on the exterior. Semi-Opaq shows white semi-transparent curtains covering the window.

Opacity allows you to adjust the transparency of the drapes, curtains, and tinted glass between four different levels on the inside. The exterior retains the same transparency for privacy. Each time Opacity is clicked, the transparency is increased until the maximum is reached whereupon it returns to the default setting of minimum transparency. There are four levels of opacity provided. Reset immediately returns the item to the minimum opacity level.

The item is configurable by notecard to be operable only by the owner or by anyone. The color of the curtains for the semi-opaqe setting is also configurable by using the notecard. White or gray seems to work best, but light blue and green are both attractive (see the last two photos).

The prim in this item may be modified and copied. Only the script in the prim may be not be modified, but may be copied and the prim re-sized as you wish and copied to fit windows of different sizes.

Finally, copies of the drapes may be linked together on separate windows (edit the drapes, hold down the shift key and select another copy and then Control L). If you link the copies, clicking on one set of drapes will simultaneously operate the linked copy. It may also be linked with different blinds, drapes and curtains, for example it may be linked with Warm Wood Blinds on another window.
