In each item there is a texture change flag. These countries are currently available on the flag options: American, Argentinian, Australian, Brazilian, Canadian, German, Irish, Italian, Jamaican, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Russian, UK, Scottish, and Spanish.

You can open/close the door via menu.
There are letters that show/hide via menu inside the box.
The mail flag is up/down via menu.
The flag is texture change
Lights are on/off

People can actually LEAVE MAIL for you in the form of a NC. They simply have to touch the post box and it will prompt them to drop a NC into the box.

... and after they leave the NC

When someone does this the mail flag will pop up to let you know you have mail.

When you collect the mail the door will open and your mail will pop out! (It will give you a folder with your NCs too)
