Small Print:
I have tried hard to make this as effective a tool as we could, and it really does make exploring Second Life much easier, whether on foot or by vehicle. However there are some limitations.
1. This device cannot see into the next sim. Second Life scripts simply have no way of doing this. It is useful to know that ban lines normally only extend 50m above ground level, so in an aircraft you can fly over. By boat it is worth trying to stay in the centre of a river as this is often Linden owned and ban line free.
2. We have worked hard to make the scripts in this device as efficient as possible. In a clear sim the map should load almost immediately but, as with anything else, in a busy sim it will take longer to load.
3. Due to various technical limitations we cannot give this device anything like the resolution that the default mini map has. (To do so would use several thousand prims, massive scripts and be unusably slow). Due to this very small plots (i.e. 16m ad plots) with ban lines will not always appear on the map. Fortunately such plots are relatively rare since there is no point in banning people from an ad plot other than to deliberately to crash vehicles or grief neighbours.
