You definitely get what you pay for with this rug. It isn't mesh, the design is pretty but there aren't any small details in the design to make it look like a rug, and it isn't that big. If you're looking for a large mesh area rug that looks realistic then this is definitely not for you. However, if you're interested in a basic inexpensive medium sized rug that lays completely flat without any realistic details then go for it.
