My belief is that it is absolutely possible to create astoundingly powerful HUDs with LSL.

Despite being an incredibly challenging prospect; With some passion, a muster for mathematics, data structures and a keen sense for 3D/2D I managed to build a HUD library that possesses a scripting language of its' own.

With this, you should definitely be able to build a pretty good HUD.

Basic scripting skills are assumed (handling linked messages, prim params, prim position/rotation/coordinates).

  • 10 Different UI widgets
  • Unique UI scripting to build a HUD
  • Link-message based
  • 2 Necessary scripts, 1 additional convenience script (Parser)
  • Text rendering via hovertext with glyph width calculation

i was expecting an easy to understand framework to create my own hud from it, not just look at bunch of random stuff and say "hey it's cool".
this is definitely not a time saver, first time i didn't like a product from nexii

Good god Nexii's a wizard. A picture would not do this justice. It feels like a (laggy) video game UI, or something done in javascript on a website. It's terrifying, extensive, and it works.

AND THE CODE. The document script is well-commented, though don't expect to be making anything right off the bat. It may be commented, but this is a complicated parser, and it'll require some poking and experimenting to see just how everything works.

I'm frankly too scared to even try it out.

The random included other libraries and examples that aren't part of the "NexUI" are interesting, and some are useful. Others will probably be useful once I figure out what the hell they do.
