Yes it's a complete quality house and yes, it is only one prim's worth of land impact. There are other one prim houses on the market too of course but mine are a bit different because:
+ They do not sacrifice build quality but instead uses extreme optimization to keep the LI down.
+ They are optimized not only for the lowest possible LI but also for the lowest possible lag.
+ Like all my houses they have perfect physics, you can rez freely inside, the floor and even the roof have correct walking elevation, the parts that should be solid are and the part that shouldn't be aren't.
+ They have perfect LoD. No matter what graphics setting you have and what distance you see the house from, the structure remains solid with only minor distortions even at extreme viewing distances.

I have listed the Chin Rey Alder with "Horizon" as one of the keywords because even though wasn't specially made for the Horizon sims, it is particularly suitable there:
+ It is modern enough to fit the sci-fi theme yet traditional enough to function as a nice comfy home.
+ The great LoD means it works even in an open landscape like the Horizon sims.
+ The combination of a big panoramic window at the front and a alcove at the back means you have both a lovely space where you can enjoy the outside (and be enjoyed from the outside if you like ;) and a secluded space for when you want more privacy.
+ It only uses one of your free prims yet gives you a much higher quality house than the default ones that come with the parcel.

Although Chin Rey's Alder was originally made as a house to live in, the combination of a large front window and plenty of uninterrupted wall space also makes it very suitable as a store.
It comes in four different sizes, all fit even a 512 m2 parcel and still offer lots of interior space.
+ The 16x12 m Alder 1612 is the smallest and most "comfy" version.
+ Alder 1616 (16x16 m) is probably the one most people will want with the best balance between spaciousness and comfyness.
+ Alder 2016 is for those who want a little bit extra space and is also probably the one most suitable as a store.
+ Alder 2020 is for those who just can't get enough space in their home or store.
