This sand textures pack gives you everything you need to create a realistic beaches and sand dunes for your terrain. It was modelled in 3D software to achieve ultra realistic shadows and detail.
If using prims or mesh, you can use the new "Advanced Lighting Model" viewer feature to create a stunning effect. To show these textures off to their best remember to add some nearby prim light sources!
All textures are 1024px resolution. Also provided in 512px resolution.

Additionally, the textures in this pack are compatible with the new "Advanced Lighting Model" feature in Second Life viewers. This allows for the creation of more realistic texture surfaces that respond like materials to lighting!
To see this texture at its best potential you'll need a recent viewer and you will need to enable the "advanced lighting model" under your preferences.
This option is enabled automatically for avatars with their graphics set to "High" or "Ultra". Avatars who do not enable this will see the standard textures only.

Texture lacking detail
I don't normally leave reviews on items like textures usually If I don't like an texture I woudn't use it again and move on. These textures cost me 299L$ that can be quite alot for texture especially for those who don't have much L$ to begin with. I have paid for quality the quality is really terrible. You have added normal and specular maps the whole point using those is to increase the detail of the base (diffuse) texture and all that did was add a shadow which compromises the quality of the base (diffuse) texture. I don't understand why you would add normal or specualar when it doesn't add anything to the existing texture at all.
The 10 Beach Sand Textures this store is selling isn't good enough for 299L$ at best it should be 50L$ because the quality is awful you can find better quality for less elsewhere.

These textures are amazing! Great job!! Whoever wrote the first review has no idea how to use textures, or is probably selling their own textures.
The quality of these textures is so great, like you can sense how sense how soft the sand is.
Go ahead and buy it, you won't regret this purchase! ♥

sorry but the free beach texture in are inventory in library is better then this.
Realistic sand
This is the best sand I have found so far on the grind. Very realistic and I am tickled it came with materials as well. Wonderful set, wonderful price, easy to work with.

This sand looks so REALISTIC.
So much better than all the blotchy sand textures I've seen before that look like they were spray canned on or something. This one actually looks real!!
