Have you looked at Chin Rey's Caldbeck Cottage 02 but decided even ten prims is too much? I'm sure we can cut it down even further if we want to. All those windows, they add quite a bit of LI - especially when they have movable shutters. We don't really need them all in SL and, let's face it, a real life building of this kind probably wouldn't have that many either. Then there's the crossgable roof. Let's replace it with a regular straight gable. That ought to save a bit of prims and again, perhaps this simpler solution is more authentic too.
What we get is Chin Rey's Caldbeck Cottage 03. It has all the qualities of its better known brother but by omitting those details, the land impact goes down to... you're not gonna believe this ... it goes down to just 6.
The original Caldbeck Cottage 03 is a typical English countryside stone cottage but as always, I just couldn't help playing around with the textures a bit and came up with this redbrick variant, perfect for a more urban industrial revolution or steampunk setting and a great match for my Windermere series of townhouses.

About the Caldbeck Series
Chin Rey's Caldbeck series of houses is named after a sim in the Hidden Lake District of Sansara, right south of OPQ's headquarters in Coniston and Kewsick.
The RL Caldbeck is famous for its stone buildings and that has become the main theme of the OPQ series too: solid, good old fashioned stone houses perfect for the English countryside. However, through the wonderful miracle of retexturing, the Caldbeck houses have proved themselves surprisingly flexible, fitting right into settings as different as late medieval and wild west!
