The ABTech Rental is a rental box that allows sharing the rent.
It has been designed to be very easy to use.
But it also includes a lot of optionnal features that allow you to customise it.
Features :
✔ Low prim model : 1 prim !!!
✔ You can choose to rent by hour, day or week
✔ Price per week, minimum and maximum rental period, prim limits are easy to set
✔ You can reserve a rental box for a specific person
✔ You can share the rent (with up to 20 other avatars). Sharers are notified by IM when they receive their %.
✔ A "reminder IM" with a teleportation link is sent to the tenant 48 hours before rental ends. You can change the number of hours or disable this feature.
✔ The owner (you) can add time to someone rental's.
✔ You can allow/deny anybody to pay to add time to someone rental's.
✔ You can add a notecard inside the rental : this notecard will be given to anyone who touch the rental.
✔ [NEW] You can choose if a location will become available for rent for anyone as soon as a rental ends or after a customizable number of hours.
✔ When you cancel a lease, the rental box tells you the amount you may refund for the remaining time (it's up to you to decide to refund or not).
✔ Light effets indicate the state of the ABTech Rental (out of order, rented, not rented...). You can customise the colors of the light.
✔ The ABTech Rental can move when rented. It will go back to its initial position when the rental ends.
✔ Tenant can add not rounded periods (added time is automatically computed)
✔ You can customise the hover text (color and text)
✔ No commands to remember.
✔ Change size, color and texture (modify)
✔ Low lag

✔ [New] Optional add-on : The ABTech Rental Map is a powerfull mapping tool to complement your ABTech Rental. It displays where all your rentals are in a given sim and helps users to teleport. The ABTech Rental Map can be purchase separately (see "Related Items").

Not worth it
You cannot set the rent to 0 even if you wanted to. The posts work after a fashion but the map updater just sits there saying it is setting up and never rezzes the cubes to show the locations of the rental properties. I think this is old and sadly needs updating. Spend you money on something that works properly.
Purchased years ago
I got this years ago and when it worked in 2011 after the last update - it was great. But we're talking 8 years later and i rezzed them down and they move when rented, with no changes to the notecard, and they don't actually refund the renter their money. Thankfully I was only testing them in comparison to what i was needing with another alt account, but it's frustrating. An update is sorely needed on these, as they are reasonable to use otherwise. Sure, a notecard system can be terribly annoying - but if you're not in some rich situation to get a web based system, these work ok if they'll behave.
