Simple LED flashlight!
This product looks best with advanced lighting model, as it has materials (normal map and specular map) and also uses projected lighting

Wear it, activate gesture, press L to toggle it on or off!
You can change the gesture's trigger key or even add chat message triggers if you like!

The flashlight is scripted to be aware of animations in its contents! It plays the animation that is in its contents when turned on, if there is no animation in the contents, it will not try to play animations, if you rez it, it also wont try to play animations.
Use of this "cleverness" allows you to swap animations easily to your own.
You can also remove animations entirely and use the flashlight elsewhere, like on shoulder, helmet, etc.
The flashlight is link friendly, and you can link it to other things, it will still work with the gesture!
- Materials Enabled
- Rezzable
- Swappable animations
- Modifyable
- Link Friendly
not with AO walking anim
nice flashlight, easy to mod to smaller size, would be nice to have brightness / range adjustment via script (so it does not revert), BUT
When walking with AO on, it should override the arm pose!
Don't like it
I got once a free flashlight from a halloween event liked it but lost it so I wanted a new one,
this one is kinda long and dosent light the path straight when you walk, i'm swinging it back and front as I walk
excellent flashlight
it does exactly what it says, easy to use, you just activate a gesture which activates the torch and it has an animation.
it could be a big brighter maybe but you can increase glow a bit more if you like.
i tried to edit the light ray to make it bigger but i couldnt.
Scrip works well but not very bright
So, the script for this works great, the model is nice, good size etc, just I find it's not a very bright flashlight. I'm not sure though if that's a failing of the product or an issue with SL lighting.
The only flash light you will ever need in SL
Tried other flash lights with mixed results. From wonky hold animations (one had the elbow sticking way out) to cumbersome controls. This has none of that. The default hold animation is simple yet effective, and the controls are just a push of a button.
Just what I needed
Thanks! Does it's job, and for an amazingly cheap price, too.
