Help Notecard ........................... You are reading this now
SMCargo Floor ........................... Elevator floor
AT Elevator Platform .................. The Elevator car
SMShaft .................................. Standard elevator track
SMShaft Double ...................... Double lenght elevator track

Setup Process (Assumes you know how to edit objects in Second Life):

1. Rez an elevator floor, use SL's build tools to allign it to your building or elevator shaft how you want it
2. Using SL's build tool click on the blue arrow (z axis) shift drag the elevator floor frame upward and allign it to the next floor, do this as many floors you want
3. Edit each floor's description field with the format of "Elevator_name,floornumber" without quotes. (Example: "Default,1" without quotes)
additional note: You can also add a floor name designation, right next to the floor number, (Example: "Default,1,B1" without quotes)
4. Place elevator shaft pieces between floors where needed, so there is a continous track, see 4a addendum in the Customizing segment.
5. Rez the elevator car, set it's description field to the Elevator_name you set on the floors
6. Click the Aluveaux Technologies logo inside the elevator car, on the display screen, the main menu appears, and select reset

!!IMPORTANT!! Floors must be perfectly above each other, moving them to a different X and Y location than the first floor may result in unexpected behavior!!
!!IMPORTANT!! If you have to move the floors and the elevator, Repeat step 6 on the setup process! (Resetting the elevator)
Additional note for step 5: After setting the description of the elevator, you can take it to your inventory, and re-rez it any time with that elevator id. The elevator does reset and setup everything on rez too

Customizing:

4a: When placing elevator shaft pieces, Notice that it has 3 seperate faces! A face for the main shaft, a face for bottom wall attachment, and top wall attachment.
It is possible to stretch these pieces on their Z axis! You can also increase, or decrease the texture repeats on the main shaft face (vertically) as needed to keep the texture continous, and hide the now stretched wall attach point faces!
You can also hide either bottom or top ones for more flexibility.
The double shaft also has a seperate face for the middle wall attachment points.
By managing which attachments are visible you can set up an equal distance between them, keeping it nice and realistic.

!!IMPORTANT!! The Elevator is NOT resize friendly! Resizing the elevator results in unexpected behavior!

Design hints with modperms:

To save landimpact you can unlink and remove unused floor buttons, you do have to reset the elevator scripts after that. You can also shift drag off more floor buttons, just change their name accordingly to the rest of the buttons.

General Interactivity:

The maximum interaction distance is 10 meters! Be sure to be standing inside that in order to use the elevator!

Clicking the AT Logo on the display screen will show up the owner menu, works for the owner only
Clickable buttons described under

Click a floor number button to order the elevator there. You can click multiple floor numbers, the elevator will go to each in order of pressing the buttons!
Click the Hold button to toggle the hold mode. When the hold mode is active, the elevator will not close the doors if they are open, and will not depart even with closed doors!
Click the open door icon to open the doors
Click the close door icon to close the doors
On the floors there are call buttons, press this to summon the elevator to the current floor.
Calls are handled similar to the floor buttons, in the order of requests!

Owner Menu:

Reset: ............ Resets the elevator, rescans floors, and sets the elevator into the imaginary shaft set up by the elevator floors
DisplayColor: . Opens a text box to enter a color value for the displayed elements on the elevator car and floors. Format: red, green, blue, each is a whole number from 0 to 255. Invalid colors are black. (Example: 0, 155, 255 is the default color)
AutoClose Time: Set the time it takes for the elevator to close the door and depart on its own
HoldButton: .... Toggle the hold button availability
SetTexture: ..... Sets the interior texture of the Elevator to the uuid specified, or pick from the presets!
(PSD template included )

Extra hint: You can press the hold button so its on, and disable it, so the elevator can be "out of order"

Great product & customer service !!

The detail work is stunning and it works very well with other Sci-Fi builds. I'm not a computer expert so I needed some help. The customer service from Aluveaux Technologies was amazing, probably the best I've ever received. I wish there were more stars. A great product.

Great for outdoor use!

I have a tall cliff wall that I need to have a lift system for, and I've gone with another office building type elevator for years, but I've never been happy with it because it was just too difficult to worth with and integrate into an outdoor setting.

This platform elevator is a big improvement and better for immersion in the region style. It's very easy to set up. has nice preset color options.

The only thing I would consider "missing" is a gate system so there isn't just a gaping hole where the lift goes.
