A great dobie for the classic variety

If you're looking for a furry avatar that's not just a mod, and that uses the classic SL body, and one that is also a Doberman, then I would recommend you try this one.

I bought this avatar just a few hours before writing this review. It was purchased so that I could make a surprise for my partner in Second Life; one of her pet dobermans had just passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, and I wanted to make a doberman avatar in tribute to her doberman's memory. I wasn't let down; this avatar does the job intended.

Pros:
- Great looking textures and colours
- Copy/Mod/No-Tranfer (this is something I love to see in anything I purchase)
- Both male and female variants in the same pack.
- HUD is light-weight, low-lag, and easy-to-use
- Alpha is provided, instead of using old, obsolete invisiprims.

Cons (mostly few and trivial):
- No mature texture options or mature tattoo layers (but easy enough to find, make, or use your own)
- I feel in my opinion it could use some kind of tail wag animation. Even though dobie tails are typically docked, the small stub of a tail is still capable of a little movement. This still doesn't necessarily "break" the avi, though. A little modding knowledge, and you could easily install your own wag script.
- Default body shapes leave a little to be desired, but are easy enough to modify to something you like better (just be sure to keep a copy of the original shape in case you make a mistake, or want to revert back).
- Non-rigged static mesh lower-legs means that changing the avatar's height drastically make the lower legs look disproportionate and out of place. Modifying them manually to fit the new shape better is simple enough, but I feel that rigged mesh lower legs would be a better option in this area.

That concludes the pros and cons. It's a great avatar, and for an acceptable price. And this one will stand as a tribute to the memory of my partner's doberman.
