The Torque or Torq was for Celts not only a simple jewel but a mystic object, a catalysing talisman to bring man closer to the Gods, invoking their mystic energy to course through his body.Celt warriors went to battle wearing only their torques, this object their only divine protection against all harm.
Tribal Spirals are among the most sacred signs of Neolithic Europe, symbolising the cycles of life, the movements of the seasons. They appear on megalithic monuments, entrances to caves, sacred places of worship, all over the Continent and the British Isles, such as Newgrange in Ireland.
Spirals also symbolised the coiled serpent or dragon, representing the natural energies of the Earth and sky.
Trident jewels and clothing are inspired by passion for medieval, ancient, ethnic and tribal jewelry and costumes. Each design combines creativity with careful research of museum replicas, archaeological findings and study of their historical symbolism.
