Agayu, Agallu
Lord of the volcano and the desert; source of creative energy. Associated with earthquakes, the energy of the earth, lava, magma, and fire in general. He is the strength we all carry deep inside, the core and creative energy of our bodies. He is also associated with riverbanks and is the ferryman who transports us across. He is syncretized with St. Christopher in this sense. His feast day is July 25. He likes palm oil, goats and roosters. His colors are burgundy or wine; also the 9 colors of Oya or the rainbow. He carries a double-headed axe like Chango, who is some stories is said to be his son.
