Prim counts / Land impact.
By default the fish tank itself is 14 Land Impact and each fish is 1 Land Impact.
So when using the default setup, the tank and fish will use 19 Land impact. But saying this the land impact is completely variable, going as low as just 7 or 8 LI if you decide to make the tank smaller and only have 3 or 4 fish. To as high as 30 to 40 LI if you decide to have a lot more fish and make the tank a little bigger, I say “a little” because although its possible to make the tank much bigger be prepared for the LI cost to increase. But in all I truly believe that my default settings with a combined weight of 19 LI is perfect for any one wanting to own a very well made, very functional, interactive fish tank.
Quick setup steps:
1. Rezz the fish tank.
2. Attach the Piranha Fish Tank Setup Hud.
3. Click Rezz Selected.
4. Once the setup is complete you can detach the Setup HUD.
(Note, once the fish have been rezzed, if you decide to resize or move/rotate the fish tank you will need to remove all the fish before doing so and add them back once you are done.)
If you would like to know more about the other fish tanks setup options please continue reading.
Setup options:
Basic setup: (Same as Quick setup steps)
Rezz and place the fish tank where you like, attach the Fish tank setup HUD and click rezz selected. This will automatically setup the fish tank with the default settings. It’s very easy and does not require any configuration.
Advanced setup:
If you want more options like setting the number of fish and there individual sizes, then you can use the options on the HUD to configure these.
Realistic Mode:
With this option the fish will start off as baby’s and grow over time. It’s important to understand that when you select this option, you will not be able to set the size of the fish. But you do have a few other options.
Growth Speed Factor:
You can use this to control how fast your fish will reach there maximum growth size, for example using a value of 1 the fish will be fully grown within about 15 to 19 days, but using a value of 2 the fish will be fully grown in about 1 month and using a value of 42 the fish will grow in real time over about 2 years.
Here is a list of factors to help.
1 = 19 days.
2 = average of 1 month.
5 = average of 3 months.
7 = average of 5 months.
14 = average of 10 months.
21 = average of 1 year.
Feeding the fish:
This is done by clicking the fish tank and selecting the Feed Fish option. The food will be rezzed and the fish will start to eat the food. As the food percentage decreases the food will appear to shrink in size giving the appearance that the food is really being consumed. By default only the owner can feed the fish, to allow others to feed the fish you must set the menu option “Access” to “Every One” this will give your friends and family access to feed the fish and to adjust the advanced lighting system.
(Note: That feeding the fish is possible with both setup options, whether you have Realistic Mode enabled or not.)
Other important information:
Please do not change the description of the fish once they are rezzed as the fish use the description field for there own data to ensure proper functionality.
Script times and memory information:
Each fish uses 41kb of script memory and around 0.004ms script time
The fish tank itself uses 91kb of memory and 0.004ms script time.
While using the LED lighting system the fish tanks script time will increase depending on the LED flash speed.
