The earrings are made of pure heavy shining gold and decorated with sard cameos (sard was one of the favorite materials of Romans for carving cameos).
The image on the cameos is of mythologic nature and depicts the scene of Latona with her children pursued By Python.
This set of earrings is not an exact replica of any existing piece, but is an artistic stylization that defenitely has the authentity and the genuine look of an ancient heirloom treasure that maybe the highest patricians of Ancient Rome would wear.
