Autofeeder Creator System 1.8 - build & sell autofeeders for breedables

With this, you can create auto feeders for almost any breedable. An existing breed of animal, or a breedable you have made yourself.

No scripting required. Place the scripts for the server and plates in your objects, list food types in the notecard (and customize other options such as floating text color and rez positions), and create a unique channel number for the specific breed.

You are free to sell/distribute autofeeders using these as long as the permissions are set as no transfer on the items.

You must follow instructions on setting the permissions on the scripts, notecards and server objects. If you know how to set permissions, you should be able to this up in just a few minutes.

The system supports up to twenty (20) food types and the plate owner can enable/disable which types a plate should be rezzing/checking for. The autofeeder does not care what breed it is rezzing food for, and it can rez food for multiple breeds from one system if you so desire - with different plates configured to rez different foods, as long as there are nine or less food types total.

You can make a single "combo" server for different breeds.

Get the free demo here on Marketplace (with example food) to test out how it operates.

It should only take you a few minutes to get the system running. The longest part is test rezzing the different food objects through the system to adjust the rez positions.
------------------------
NEW v1.8 October, 2014
- Optional group access & access list (up to ten avatars) to allow others to add food items
- Minor adjustments and optimizations
------------------------
NEW Iv1.75 August, 2013
- Fix to support food for popular breedable lemur.
------------------------
NEW v1.7 July, 2013
- System now supports up to twenty (20) food types per plate/server
- Corrected some food rez rotation quirks
------------------------
NEW v1.6 April, 2013
- Scan for depleted food correctly supports food style used by popular breedable dwarves
- optional X & Y rez coordinates for food relative to the plate (defaulting to random style) new rezx and rezy fields in notecard = leave as 0 for default.
- Turn off/on hovertext
------------------------
NEW v1.5 October, 2012
- Scanning for non-disappearing food types now includes description fields as well as object names
- Floating text headline can be turned off or customized in the notecard
- Food plate comes with all food types turned off initially instead of the first one being on by default
- Servers configured with only ONE food type will properly activated in the plate menu.
------------------------
NEW v1.11
- You can now use food that does not delete itself when emptied, provided the name of the food object changes to something specific or includes a detectable phrase. (if the food object changes to include the word "empty", or "0 remaining"). You must add these phrases to the configuration notecard.
- An instant message is sent to the owner when the server rezzes the last of a type of food, containing a link to TP to its location. An optional repeat warning timer can be enabled by the server owner from its menu.)
-----------------------

Limitations:
- These are designed as copyable no-transfer systems, the next owner after you will be able to copy but not transfer their Autofeeder.
- Plates will only scan for and detect food objects rezzed through the specific plate.
- The scripts themselves are no modify, and must be set to No Transfer before they will activate. Your server object must be set to no modify.
- If the food object is NOT the kind that vanishes when it is emptied by the breedables, the name of the food object must change to include a scannable phrase such as "(empty)", "0/" or "0 remaining" etc.
- You must provide your own server and plate objects.
- Only the object owner can activate the server/plate menus.
- Food items are not immediately served the moment a plate is activated, it can take a short while as the system attempts to be gentle as possible with sim resources.
- Always test any system before distributing, have a friend or use an alt to test and make sure everything is working.

While the system has been tested extensively on multiple breed/food types without issue, due to SL quirks, no responsibility/liability is taken for any food losses or other possible issues.

These scripts are 100% operational and I use them to feed my own breedables, I raise ones belonging to some of the most popular and well known brands, it is likely you own some of these yourself.

If updates are required for possible unforseen circumstances, SL changes, often requested features, etc, an update disk is included and future free updates may be issued. You can join the Grebo Fright group for information on updates.

As the 100% author of this code, I have no problems with providing knowledgeable and reasonable amount of support and assistance.

IM me or send notecards with questions.

It takes a little fiddling with, however it does work and works as it should.

I bought some full perm mesh decorative items, loaded the scripts, cards and tested it. As I write this, 3 more folks are testing as well.

One issue I found is that it deletes the "Access" notecard, which is necessary for the script to be happy. A quick fix was to create a blank notecard and name it "Access" and drop it in the server.

It's a bit slow, however it does work. And, it alerts when the server is empty.

After an unfortunate experience with another merchant, we bought this, and set up and the operation of this is a breeze! Thanks for making it so easy to operate and to make our own feeder system!

I messaged the creator to make them aware that this auto feeder randomly picks a plate and rezs all your food. No reply on a fix

I HAVE WROTE TWO NOTECARDS UP EXPLAINING MY ISSUE AND HAVE NOT GOTTEN AN ANSWER HERE IS WHAT I WROTE

Hi Grebo

I am RileyAnnFalls Resident and I purchased Autofeeder Creator System 1.8 - build & sell autofeeders for breedables Version 1.8 from you and I can get the system to work for me but the food seems to not be working for any others it will keep spitting food out even when its not empty.

I was curious if you could help me with scripting and getting the script down to what I need it down to. I am curious at creating an autofeeder for a breedable company that has just started about a week ago.

Here is the API I need the script to work with
http://www.cutencuddlybreedables.com/pages/api

If you could help me with scripting to that so that I can get this out and sold I'd appreciate it.

Am even willing to learn how to code it and all.

Here is my calling card:

This has saved me lot of prims. I did have a little problem getting set up at first, but Grebo got right back to me and let me know how to correct my problem. With that done, I only need one "plate" to rezz the food on for each group of animals, I can customize which feeders ( plates) get which foods, and I only need to check the levels on the server instead of running around to dozens of feeders.

I wish I'd had this two years ago!
