Well, I expected more
Maybe after having the excellent Pythias Long-Range Shuttle my expectations were too high when looking for a starfighter from this same company. The model itself has a very nice WWII inspiration look. The sculpted hull makes it limited on customization, but it's possible to retexture it, even though the number of object faces are a bit limited. The mouselook flying is easier than usual, since this ship has a "heavy" handling, being not so touchy, ideal for mouselook flying beginners. A neat surprise are the particle effects when hovering over ground or water.
Now, the cons: the ship is a bit too small for tall avies, it's possible to resize it since it's mod, but it will mess with the vehicle physics. The weapons have no sounds when shooting and they shoot just conventional bullets. There is no ordnance, like missiles or torpedoes. The canopy does't open at all, something even freebie ships have. Having wheels on the landing gears is pointless in a repulsorlift vehicle, but that's more of a personal preference. The cockpit is really bland, could have a better work on overall detailing texture wise. In all I end up thinking it's a bit too basic on certain aspects and, even though the price is not so high, it's far from being a freebie as well, so a little more refinement would be very welcome.
In all it's not a bad ship and lots of people may have fun with it, but as a real starfighter it lacks in some important areas, so I'm giving it only 3 stars.
