This mail box stores messages that will be sent to you when you log into SL.
The sender clicks the post box and a dialog menu prompt with a text box appears, where he/she can write a message and the message will be stored.
Note: Most post boxes one has to type in open chat. So this is a secure way and the message is just for you.
The sender has the ability to drop a note card as well for longer messages. (only NC`s are accepted) The post box will show how many unread note cards it contains and send you an instant massages who dropped a notecard and the title of it. Like the following:

This mail box is as well an online indicator and shows if you are online or not by picture and by hover-text.
To show 2 different pictures for online/ offline indication, please drop your own pictures into the content of the mail box and name the picture for online indication "online" and for offline indication "offline"!
If you do not drop any picks or textures into the content, there is a drop back texture that will be shown.
