Most real-world Thames barges were laid-down, completed and then launched stern-first from large timber sheds like this at the heart of small or medium-sized yards along the Thames and Medway rivers.
This model is a de-branded version of our bespoke erecting shed at Samphire Creek.
The Land Impact is high on this due to the model's size. Two models are included: with and without gutters, the version without having a lower Land Impact if needed.
The shed is full-perm so you can re-scale as desired if you want a smaller model, but as it comes it will easily accommodate any pair of Mark II barges with lowerable masts, so in other words all except Nr.210 'Celeste' because she has a fixed mast. Of course you could also use it to moor anything else that will fit - even those modern plastic motor boats if you really must!
Or, it can also serve as an aeroplane hangar.
