This is a basic visitor detector. It creates a list of everyone who visits within the range you specify*. The scan range can be set anywhere from just a few meters, all the way to the maximum distance possible - 2,147,483,647 meters. This list can then be later viewed privately by the owner. Although messages from the visitor detector are sent to the local chat window, these messages are only seen by you, the owner. You can also enable IM notifications to notify you when a new visitor has been added to the visitor list. Also, with Autohide enabled, the prim will automatically hide itself when the owner is more than 5 meters away. Simply click the visitor detector to make the menu appear.
Tip: After rezzing a visitor detector, rename it to describe the area it is in. For example, if you place it in your skybox, you could rename it to "Skybox Visitor Detector".
Note: The visitor detector will record a maximum of 150/300** visitors in the visitor list, depending on whether or not timestamps are enabled. With timestamps enabled, the limit is 150. With timestamps disabled, the limit is 300. Timestamps are disabled by default. Once this limit has been reached, the oldest entries will automatically be removed to make room for newer visitors. This is to prevent script crashes as well as to retain script performance.

TP Links(Version 1.6+):
With TP Links enabled, any time the visitor detector notifies you of a new visitor via IM, it will include a teleportation link which will teleport you directly to that visitor's location at the time they were detected.
Please be prompt when using this feature as the visitor may have already left the area by the time you click the link.
The message will also include how many meters away that avatar is from the visitor detector at the time they were detected, which is to give you an indication as to whether or not you should in fact teleport to them. Please be mindful of neighbors who might inadvertently come into range.

Multi-Visit Timer(Version 1.7+):
The Multi-Visit Timer, or "MV Timer" for short, is a timer which allows you to specify the minimum amount of time the visitor detector must wait before adding someone to the list again since their last visit. For example, if you have the timer set to 3 hours, and someone is added to the list, it will be at least another 3 hours before they can be added again. This allows the visitor detector to record multiple visits by the same person. By default, the MV Timer is off, which means that the visitor detector will not record subsequent visits by someone who is already in the list. This setting will vary depending on your own situation. If you start receiving too many notifications, try taking it up to the next level. For example, instead of 3 hours, try 6 hours, etc. You have 12 settings to choose from for the MV Timer: Off, 15 Minutes, 30 Minutes, 1 Hour, 2 Hours, 3 Hours, 6 Hours, 12 Hours, 24 Hours, 48 Hours, 72 Hours, and 1 Week.
************************************************************
Scan Mode(Version 1.9+):
The scan mode lets you determine what type of scan you want to perform when detecting visitors: Region or Parcel.
When set to Region(the default setting), all avatars within the region can be detected as a visitor so long as they are within the scan range.
Parcel mode allows you to further restrict detections not just based on distance, but whether or not avatars are on the same parcel as the visitor detector as well.
************************************************************
Time Zone(Version 2.0+):
The time zone option allows you to set the time zone, in number of hours, behind or ahead of the GMT/UTC time zone for which you want the timestamps displayed.
Version 2.5+: The time zone dialog now displays the current GMT/UTC timestamp to assist you in setting this value correctly.
************************************************************
Version 2.7: View List now outputs the timestamp before the avatar name so that all the timestamps are aligned in a column, making the output more elegant and easier to sort through.

Please feel free to copy the script into your inventory and place it into objects that suit your preference. You can place it in a wide range of objects: trees, plants, chairs, lamps, or any other object you can modify.
Prim is Copy/Mod/No Transfer, script is Copy/No Mod/No Transfer.

If you need to be somewhere quickly to attend to anyone's needs!
Apart from the obvious use of getting an impression of the amount of visitors to your area, you can quickly jump to your shop in person when a visitor is announced, in stead of using some bot etc.
Especially nice if you run a pub or an inn at a roleplay sim.
Who needs more?
This is simple, easy to use and perfect for just wanting to keep an eye on the general traffic of my area.
Another great gadget from Arron Rainfall
I have been using this for over a year, and seems I never reviewed it till now, when I received an auto delivery of the latest update - just one of the amazing aspects of this item!
This does all you need in regard to letting you know who has visited your land, and is configurable in all kinds of useful ways. I especially love that it enables me to be notified of the time of visits in my local time - something my fancy schmancy SL viewer still doesn't do, I get so fed up with having to work out when something happened from SL time, but not with this detector, you just put in your local time and it just works.
So that it's not a script hog, it has a limit on the number of visitors it will record, so do remember to check and clear the list regularly if it's important to know everyone who visits.
L$25 for a great product with lifetime updates? Perfect. Just buy it, if you ever own land anywhere and want to know who visits, it's all you need! Thanks again Arron!
Very handy detector
For this price you cant go wrong. I can stay offline and rcve by email the visitors names.
Worth the money 20 times, at least
I have tried several orbs and counters etc etc, all of them had some sort of annoyance. This one is the very cheapest I purchased and works the best! 20 Stars * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ;-)
