Clicking on staff toggles rotation and particle effects.
My staves do not contain any spells or combat scripts, except for the particle effects shown. However, all staves can be copied and modified to add your own scripts.

Staff is not modifiable despite what it says
The staff was too big for my female avatar. I bought it thinking I could mod, but it was not modifiable...useless staff for me and waste of my lindens
