The Bright Security System secures your land, or group land, or even someone else's land (with their permission).
You can control access by group membership, or through a list of whitelisted or blacklisted names: unauthorised visitors are given a warning (in line with Second Life TOS), and then ejected from your land, or teleported home - and optionally banned to prevent their return.
You can also greet visitors as they arrive with a custom message, and send them another when they leave, and even give them a folder full of items - notecards, landmarks, free gifts, whatever your venue needs.
The system can optionally notify you of arrivals, departures, and expulsions, and display a list of current or recent visitors.
You can define the *space* you wish to protect with absolute precision. You can simply say "anywhere within 96m", you can automatically exclude anywhere within range but outside your parcel, or you can even use pairs of X, Y and Z region coordinates to define a space absolutely precisely. For instance, you can secure a single, rectangular room within your house, without affecting anyone outside, above, or below.

Misleading description, overpriced and bad customer service (-3 stars)
The ad says it covers your entire 'parcel', but it won't cover subdivided areas. I paid much less for the same type of security before. The owner/creator/seller said subdivisions count as a new parcel, but other security I've had will cover ANY land owned by the same person on a region or set to the same group. The ONLY reason I bought this was because I had a Stack Heap Collision error on my other security system due to an extensive ban list. Don't settle for basic security with misleading advertising, overpriced products or bad customer service; buy something else.
Amazing Security System.
I was looking for a security system that would allow me to divide my land into public and private access areas. I found this amazing system, thanks Shan Bright for the support.
Greeter, Giver, & Security All-in-One!
Initially, I was using a well-known security orb to monitor traffic & ban unwanted guests. I was also using a welcome mat to give stuff & greet people who came to my home. Between the 2 objects, I was using up at least 3 prims or more, not to mention the many scripts involved. Basically, I lagged like crazy & wasted prims.
The Bright Security system is way more customizable and does the work of my old 2 items, and everything's on 1 script. Not only that, but I can control how often it should scan the area & how far it should scan, so it's less lag (& more prims freed) for me!
With an older alt I had (it was my 1st experience with this security), Shan came right out to my land & helped me with the setup. Shan was patient, positive & helpful despite my noob status with the security system & SL in general. So when I lots my old alt & had to start over, I bought this same security system again and had no probs figuring out how to set it up & get it working.
So if you like quick but patient & helpful support for your products... and if you need security, value your privacy, and still want to have a friendly place to welcome strangers by greeting them, giving them objects, etc -- then give BRIGHT a try! :)
Perfect for Rentors with No Rights
I have a skybox on someone elses property and just pay then rent directly so I cannot deed items there. this product is perfect ffor someone like me. Just have the owner of the property rezz the Security Sign and deed it to the land and you are ready to use the Security Scanner.
I set the Security Scanner up so Menu User was the Owner (me), and also set the Access to Owner (me again). next I put the names in of the individuals I wanted to have access to my home in the "Names" notecard... a word of cuation here, make sure the names are spelled correctly to include caps where needed (their true name), save it and cycle the system Off then On to make sure it reads the modified notecard and you are set. Had a small issue here but the Creator was more than happy to come by and see what was going on. The support for this product is great.
I recommend this product to anybody renting where their are mutiple rentors in skyboxes on one parcel.
Great service from a great creator, if you need protection anywhere, this is the gadget for you. being copy makes it great value too, The creator actually came and helped me in person !!!! top marks
This security/greeting system works great! I own half a sim, and I've got one set keeping my home private/secure, while another set keeps my public land available for guests to visit any time. This can greet guests, give them items you've dropped into it, etc. Lots of menu options, can set it to secure a parcel or specific x,y,z that you set. I had a prob with setting one up, and got support for it within seconds! Yep, it was my screw-up with settings, nothing with the system itself. LOL
