[C3] Animated ID card (box) v1.22 Version v1.22

The system works well enough.
My issue was the lack of SIMPLE instructions to modify the ID card.
The maker's solution was to put a PSD file (photoshop) on Dropbox.
I was cursing this complexity when I could have downloaded a simple PNG from SL.
I also had an absolutely ridiculous nightmare of an experience f***ing about with dropbox and trying to make sure I wasn't being charged $100 for a free trial - getting that sorted out meant going to my Gmail, which wanted to verify me on my iPad, them my phone. I can't believe the hassle to figure out how to ensure I wouldn't be charged by dropbox - because they don't make it obvious how to cancel your registration, but they do warn you you need to do it or pay.
I was cursing the maker of this card.
Anyway, It turns out there are THREE cards;
1. The HuD
2. The hand-held version
3. The lapel clip-on card.
Having got the template into gimp, I simply saved my edited version as a PNG and uploaded it to SL.
Then I was able to edit the rezzed cards by selecting "Edit Linked" & "Select Texture" and replacing the existing texture with mine.
Rather than actually put it on the ground, you can edit it on your chest... then click the HUD to see the hand-held version and edit that one too.
I could have contacted the maker, but I am so flaming angry at the rigmarole I had to go through that I am putting this into his review. He SHOULD have made it easier and given some instructions.
I hate these creators who think we are all telepaths and photoshop users.
Document your creations, its part of the deal.
As for using dropbox - that's the worst part of the idea. Much bad language and FAR too much hassle disproportionate to a minor prop for an RP.
Bah, humbug.
The gesture actually works quite well. The chest card is a bit large.
I'm going to have to re-edit my one, because ultimately, my photo was behind my thumb, but now I have worked out how to do it I can solve that.

Great little ID card, perfect for RP. The in-world model is actually different from the photo in the listing, however it looks much better and also has a holder attached to it. The PSD was nicely organized and it was easy to quickly create myself a sweet DoD ID!
