When one thinks of ornate eggs, the name Faberge immediately comes to mind; Highly detailed and complex works of art meant to amuse and provide diversion to the Imperial Russian Court well into the early 20th century.
Inspired by the work of Faberge, but with a more steampunk and simpler asthetic, Capalini Fine Furnishings present a new series of ornate eggs. A small crystal egg, amidst green tendrils with a copper cap and handle is designed to be an eye catching and subtle conversation piece. Highly detailed touches accent this music box, from the custom sculpted vines to the moving fireflies within. Touch the egg and the tendrils fold back, one vine lifting the lid and the fireflies fly out of the music box and flit around the box, glowing and lighting the dark night. This piece of art was titled "Hope", because fireflies in the dusky twilight have always made me feel happy and hopeful. A perfect gift to give someone special (be it human, elf or fairy), or personal touch to accent a room.
