After a piece by Martin Carlin, an elegant commode, veneered in ebony and Japanese lacquered plaques, depicting oriental landscapes in gold - cabriole legs, protected with bronze mounts, escutcheons and a band of gilt bronze drapery and ribbons, topped with a plaque of white marble.
