This ceiling fan has 4 modes of operation: OFF, SLOW, FAST, AUTO. The fan will accelerate/decelerate smoothly to the chosen target speeds. The lamp at the bottom of the motor housing will switch on/off automatically at SL dusk/dawn.
The Slow & Fast speeds can be changed by renaming the power settings ('sky') file in Content (Edit). The default values (CSV format) are: 0.05, 0.10 (kW).
In Auto mode, the fan will switch on only when the wind is below a threshold value, it being assumed that fans would be needed when it is hot, and open windows do not allow an adequate airflow. The threshold wind-speed can be changed by renaming the 'gesture' file in Content. The default value is 2.22m/s (=5mph).
The fan is supplied with the blades textured as ebony wood, but being non-mesh, the fan is fully customisable in colour, texture, size & shape. For added realism the upper canopy & downrod may be detached from the fan so that it does not rotate.
The fan can be operated fully independently, but is designed to be used in conjunction with the Power Consumption Unit and Energy Storage Unit (see Related Items below).
