ok out of box but you can mod them to be quite nice
The tree has some little tiny branches growing out of the trunk in a way that gives it a very realistic look. That is my absolute favorite feature of the tree.
For me personally, the tree was way too much trunk before the leaves/pine needles started .. but again easily fixed by burying about 1/3 of the trunk under ground.
Out of the box, the tree looks only look so-so due to a few texturing issues that are easily fixable on a mod tree. if it was no-mod I would have given this 3 stars. (BTW, I recommend the creator fix these texture flaws, as that is very easy to do. However, you can do them yourself if the creator doesnt update the product.)
The trunk on the tree is at the wrong rotation and scaling, and looks unnatural out of the box. However, if you rotate the bark texture 90 degrees and fix the scaling, it looks really good. I used the 49 M tree, and for that I used horizontal scaling of roughly 26 and a vertical scaling of about 19. Of course you can adjust that to whatever values appear to you.
The pine needle textures had alpha occlusion issues. I fixed that by switching it from Alpha Blending to Alpha masking. It requires a pretty high number for the mask (I used 85), but at that setting the trees look really nice both close up and from a distance.
(I also lifted the shadow from the similar 4 Conifers product, resized and added it to the tree. In the end, I ended with a tree I really like and for a fantastically low price. If the creator fixed the alpha issues and added the shadow, I would be totally happy to pay up to about 299L for it)
