Get this animated and highly-detailed mesh wooden chess set and play against yourself, against a friend, or against the computer. The chess game has the following features:

• Move validation (you can't make illegal moves)
• Check and checkmate detection
• Castling
• En passant pawn capture
• Pawn promotion
• Undo last move
• 9 Chess computer difficulty levels
• Best of all: its Land Impact is 6

For a smooth gameplay and because of this low land impact, pieces need to be selected and moved from a bird's eye view (more or less from above). Watch the video linked below for more details.

The default time-out is 3 minutes, so it's suitable in public areas where trolls can not hijack it indefinitely. The time-out interval can be changed and even set to infinite (no time-out). A manual is included that explains how.

* Script is No Mod. Land Impact may changed upon resizing. It has no board set-up, FEN import or export, Chess960 or other features that have not been mentioned above.

Get this scripted version with AI, it's worth it to be able to play against a bot. Great looking chess board, works well. Costs more than their other stuff but the script is worth the price of admission. Thank you for some really great table games and I sincerely hope you are still making stuff in Sl, because I love your work. Thank you!

The game has a great quality look, and plays wonderfully! I have the other version too where you can't play alone too. It's great also but spend the extra on this one. You'll be glad you did for when you want to play and no one's online.

Full marks to the builder for this! It is as advertised--a fully working computer chess game that, thanks to a very creative use of invisible mesh parts, has a LI of only 6. There are multiple configurable options, including changing the amount of time for a time out on a move. If you are playing against the computer, a menu allows you to set the difficulty level as well. Also, unlike with some computer chess programs, you can select whether the computer plays white or black.

The builder gets high marks for service as well. I couldn't figure out how to work it when I first opened the box, and sent an IM off, hoping for a reply. It came back in less than 5 minutes, a record for service!

Some tips for those about to be impressed (would-be purchasers, that is):

Do watch the video. It provides the instructions. Here, in brief, is essential information: each move is a two-step process. Click on the piece you want to move and move it. (If you look at the board from the side, you'll see that the piece is hovering above the board.) At this point, you can click on the board to redo the move (if it isn't want you wanted) or click a second time on the intended space. The piece will then drop into position.

Clicking the board gets you to a context-sensitive menu. If about to play a game against the computer, you can click to select "Computer". The computer will begin the game, as white. If instead you make a move and then click the board, you'll have a choice of "computer" or "resign". If you choose "computer", the computer will then move as black. Note that it will not make a move until you have completed your move with the second click on the space.

If you resize the board, use "stretch" in the editing menu and drag the boxes. Do not simply type the X & Y values into the size fields. (I tried that, typing in 1.5 for each, and messed up the mesh pieces.) I resized the board to 1.539x1.539 without changing the LI. At 1.6, it starts increasing.

Love that I can play against another opponent or against a computer. Amazingly done and looks great too. Can't say enough about this product. A must have for any chess lover.
