Chichen Itza Temple of Kukulkan
Thank you for taking interest in Ancient Designs Products!
This building is based of a real life Mayan temple from Chichén Itzá, Mexico. The pyramid in Chichén Itzá is one of the most recognizable and most often visited precolumbian sites in the world. The Spanish dubbed this building "El Castillo" - "the Castle" because of its imposing size and shape.
This temple was dedicated to the God Kukulcan - the Feathered Serpent (known as Quetzalcoatl among the Aztecs), who was the god of the wind, the boundary between heaven and earth and one of the creators of mankind.
This is a quite big (footprint is about 55.3 meters) SL pyramid. However, despite its large size and decorative serpent statues, the whole building is still only 38 prims. It features realistic sculpts and detailed textures that help to bing the feel of the real temple of Kukulkan to Second Life.
If you want to a smaller pyramid temple, check out my Acatitlan temple, which is about 2 times smaller.
Enjoy!
