An imposing George III bookcase in mahogany with three bodies.
Designed by Thomas Chippendale in 1764, this bookcase of grand proportions is decorated with a dentilled cornice, which gathers in the centre a pronounced open pediment. The fronts are decorated with doors with geometric motifs and flanked on each side by tapering pilasters carved with fruits and foliage surmounted by a volute carved with acanthus leaves.
the lower body with solid doors decorated with mouldings and interlaced foliate scrolls in each corner.
The doors can be opened and closed with a click, and the bookcase can be detached to isolate the central body, (with or without the pediment and rococo finials crowning it).

Incredible
This creator never ceases to amaze me. The attention detail is outstanding.
Most excellent!!!
There is little more I can add to that, it's just marvelous and at such low prim cost! Details, textures, sizing and the option to leave the "wings" off, make it a must have for serious collectors of fine antiques!
Delightful display case !
This exuberant display case houses my porcelain collection safely and shows it off to aplomb! Thank-you.
Gigantesque
Alors là ; c'est grandiose merci pour cette bibliothèque de toute beauté.
