The gemstone Chrysophrase is an opalescent apple green colored variety of chalcedony. Chrysophrase was used by the Greeks, Romans, and the Egyptians in jewelry and other ornamental objects and because of its semi-opaque green color, it is often mistaken for Imperial jadeite. One of the most valuable chalcedony gem stones, chrysophrase is prized for its color and rarity, it is a 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness.

For sale: Eight 512 x 512 textures which can be used to turn any flat backed prim or sculpt into a realistic looking gemstone! THESE ARE NOT ALPHAS! They can be used on cylindrical beads or other decorative objects as well. (You may have to manipulate the texture to get the gem looking the way you want it, but that shouldn't be too hard.)
