Calling all Club Hosts - forget cutting and pasting messages from notecards into local chat - use this simple but effective 16 button Host Hud instead. I use it when hosting and it saves me lots of time so I can concentrate on whats going on.
Quite a few club hosts have asked me for a copy, so I've decided to make it available on MP for just L$149.
With this unobtrusive hud which doesn't block your view of whats happening, you can send out messages and exclamations at the touch of a button.
There are 16 buttons and each can be modified with your own messages or you can use mine which is loaded with fancy script exclamations such as
♪´¨)♫
¸.·´¸.·*´¨) AWESOME ♪
(¸.·´ ♬
and
*•.¸('*•.¸ ♥ ¸.•*´)¸.•*
.•*♥¨`•I LOVE THIS•´¨♥*•.
.•*♥¨`• SONG •´¨♥*•.
¸.•*`(¸.•*´ ♥ `*•.¸)`*•.¸
etc.
The hud sits bottom left of your screen and just click the button you want. You can add sounds to the buttons as well such as applause and cheering.
To Modify the Host Hud
1. Attach the hud - bottom left is suggested. If some of the hud is off the screen then simply edit and move the hud so all is visible. Having once attached the hud to your desired position, in future, you can just 'add'.
2. To edit each button - edit the hud then select 'edit linked' and then click each button.
3. For each button, there is the object name to edit - suggest using your name since the object name is displayed in chat. Currently the object name is 'GLORIA (host) says' - just change it to say your name.
4. In contents window there are 2 or 3 files. The first is' Host Notes' - open this file and change the text to something relevant for your club. The second is 'Hover Text' - edit this if you want to change the button label. The third, if relevant, is a sound file that plays when the button is clicked.
5. When you are finished using the hud, simply right-click and select 'detach'.
These instructions are included in the Host Hud contents as well.
See the image for how the hud is currently set up.
Enjoy & happy hosting!

Awesome
This host hud is awesome, it has all the right buttons for an event and really easy to change.
I have used mine many times and never get to the point of being tired from copy and pasting from Notecards
This is a steal at this price and hope to see maybe an updated version
Great work
Wonderful Host HUD
I am just learning to be a hostess, and this has saved my Second Life. I see no reason to ever use anything else. This is easy and works wonderfully. I also have to thank the creator for the easy to understand instructions. Thank you for sharing this with us!
So easy to use and saves lots of time while I'm hosting
I've been doing club hosting for a while and as well as keeping an eye open to greet people as they come into the club, I've been cutting and pasting sentences from a few notecards I keep open to send out in local chat like 'what a great tune', 'please remember to tip the artist and venue' etc. I'm scrolling up and down the notecards to get what I want and they obscure my vision.
This Host Hud is a dream - so easy to set up and add or amend to the existing messages but you can also add sounds like applause to the buttons as well. It comes loaded with fancy graphics and its worth the money to just get those graphics.
Also, it doesn't obscure my screen. The 16 buttons are enough for me but as it is full mod, you can add more if you need. I've had good feedback from the venue owners and artists about my hosting since using this and I think I've noticed more tips as well as I have more time to interact with the guests.
The creator is also helpful, quickly answering any queries I had even though this is a low cost item. Compared to other products, you can't argue with the price for the value you get out of it.
