I wanted a group joiner that operated when landing or stepping on an invisible mat rather than one that worked by constantly sensing if avatars were in range as my store was in a very laggy mainland area.
I couldn't find one, so made my own.
This mat uses Collision Detection rather than scanning sensors to keep lag low.
Happy to share it with you.
- Just stretch the object to the size you want.
- Edit the welcome message in the script
- Change the object group if required (default is the active group tag you are wearing when you rez it)
- Position the mat where you want it
- Apply texture or set it to transparent if required (the welcome mat texture is also included)
Set your landing point or the LM you give out to land on the mat.
