Comfy Knickers with Butterfly Back in Lacy Mesh

DEMO

Fits all Maitreya X bodies: LaraX, PetiteX and FlatX

You get a PBR textured version (also has traditional for non-PBR viewers), and a non-PBR version if you prefer not to have PBR. Some people like it; some don't.

High points
=======
Designed to be worn under clothing, especially low-back-cut with the butterfly back.
Very close fitting so alpha cuts aren't even needed under a lot of clothing.
Mod perms - yes, really - you can modify them yourself with the edit tool!
Can be linked to other items to save attachment point.
Gusset part only also provided for use as a c-string, to save some complexity if that's all you want.
100% my own work in mesh.
Can use any normal or PBR texture on them, as well as tint as you wish.
PBR and Traditional Blinn Phong textures applied.
Tinting HUD tints both types of texture at the same time.
Alpha HUD to hide the knickers in 17 parts to avoid clipping tight clothes.
Lace texture can be set Blend, Mask or Opaque.
Opaque Gusset can be turned on (for modesty) or off.
Variable translucency and masking level on the main texture.
Well fitted to LaraX; works very well with the sliders and moves perfectly with you.

Modify them to your heart's content
========================
They are modifiable! Yes - despite what many sellers would have you believe, it is perfectly possible to modify fitted mesh; just not the actual fit.

So... have at it with the edit tool. Rez them on the ground because it's hard to select individual faces while wearing. You can change the PBR materials and the traditional ones, or adjust the existing ones by adding a little sheen (reduce the roughness a touch for that; make it look satin), manually tint them, even replace the texture with your own. The UV mapping is designed simply to work well with any texture. Make sure to work on a copy because it's easier than getting a redelivery if you really mess it up, although you can't really break anything, lol.

I really advise you getting used to the edit window if you aren't, even more so now for PBR. There's so much you can fine tune to your liking (if more creators like me make things with mod perms!)

Note that the knickers show as no-mod in your inventory because the script is no-mod and SL is silly. You can edit them while worn or rezzed; rezzed is much easier. Also please note that I *cannot* assist you with modding; I simply don't have time to teach it. It's not hard, just play about on a copy if you are not experienced at using the edit tool. If you modify the knickers, there's no telling what using the HUD will then do to them if you use that too. It might have unexpected effects, or work perfectly.

The HUD
======
Wear or rez some knickers and attach the HUD...

To hide parts, just click the Alpha sections, The sides are symmetrical.

The Gusset can be shown (made fully Opaque) by clicking Gusset:On button; click the Off button to return to normal.

The Blend and Mask buttons set the alpha mode; use Mask if you have problems with alpha glitching with a tattoo layer or other alpha blend clothes, although changing the attach point can sometimes fix that even with Blending. Blend is much nicer if you can use it (and you probably can most of the time).

Click the Translucency ramp to set either the Mask level in Mask mode, or add some translucency to the entire main texture in Blend mode. They are set independently depending on the mode you are in. Clicking just to the left of the slider (in the white space) will restore the default level of lace transparency.

The Clear button clears *all* alpha-type settings and restores the defaults.

Colouring... click the main colour picker, and use the saturation slider too, Make sure the slider is not all the way to the top unless you want white... if nothing seems to be changing from white or black... that's probably why.

Relinking
======
The knickers are in three, linked parts; the script lives in the gusset part. If you link other items, the HUD should still function provided provided you relink the gusset. If things seem not to work, try resetting the script.

Notes
=====
Note that if you do really silly-extreme things with the sliders (maxing out some and minimizing others at the same time to do a *really* silly shape) that is the only time you'll see a little loss of perfection in the fitting.

Please leave a review if you like them, and give me a shout in-world if you find any issues (unlikely - my wife has been 'testing' them for a while now.). PBR is still a learning curve for us all and if you do spot anything, I can fix it.

The Demo version is, of course, no-mod and does not include the c-string version. You can hide all except the gusset though to see the c-string, because it's just that part.

  • MOD perms (except scripts)
  • Alpha and Tinting HUD
  • PBR and non-PBR supplied
  • Close fit for under clothing
