After an extraordinary piece by Bernard Antoine-Robert Gaudreaus, commanded by Louis XV originally for the chateau de Choisy, later on, the palais of Saint Cloud and Queen Marie Antoinette's apartments.

A commode (chest of drawers) decorated with antique japanese lacquered panels, lacque vernis, gilt bronze mounts in rococo style, and cabriole legs in sabots.
after the original piece, the top is in red marble, although could be changed if desired to white marble with the HUD.

c 1744.

MOD/TRANS.

Currently displayed at the Chateau de Versailles, mesdames appartements.
