Demo Object script.

Digital Alchemyst specialized in efficient and easily configurable scripts that have low script times and attempt to conserve resources on your Avatar or in your Sim.

The Demo Object script is for any object worn by an avatar that you want to have a limited lifetime. The script will keep track of the amount of time it's object is worn. After a set amount of time that you determine, the script will attempt to destroy the object and detach itself from the avatar.

By default the script chats to the wearer when 10 minutes are left in the demo period, then 5, and finally 1 minute. Then the script collapses the object and all it's prims to a small size, clears the textures and other prim settings and make all the prims transparent. Finally it detaches from the avatar.

If the avatar re-attaches the object, well it is now a small invisible object, so there is not much use to the avatar. If the owner tries to rez the object on the ground, the script will try to delete the object.

To use the script, first set the permissions to no-mod for the next owner. Settings it to no-transfer is also recommended but not required. Rez the object that you wish to become a demo and place a copy of the Demo Object script into the root prim. Now take it back into your inventory. Your object is now ready.

The Demo Object script is full perms and clearly commented. If you need to change how long the demo is or the messages chatted to the owner, just open the script and change it to your liking.
