Menus for Dummies... Easy Menu .. call it whatever you want.. but here is a very simple but SUPER powerful set of scripts that allow you to make single level dialog menus for your creations.

This product was designed to not only make the menus from a note card, but also send properly formatted messages to the scripts that you wish to drive.

With some very basic copy pasting skills and knowing what you want your other scripts that are listening to do, you can make FAST and Perfectly working Menus for your items.

** See it used with my Prim Surface Handling scripts by following the SLURL link **

* Easy Notecard configuration - Write the button name and the message and the channel and the output type and the script creates the buttons for you.

This product contains :

** DATS MATRIX MENU PRO CONTROLLER UMM1.0
** DATS MATRIX MENU LITE UMM-LITE BETA

Each has its own set of instructions but they are both very similar and both are powerful.

Quick Guidelines for selecting which one to use:

* If you will need a gazzillion Buttons then you will need the UMM-Pro - It can hold an insane number of buttons.
* If you want clean access control where a user can turn on and off Access levels then you will want the UMM-Pro
* If you want a simple menu with a few buttons without having to figure out button orders then you will want the UMM-LITE
* If you want to have a different access level for each button you will want to use the UMM-LITE

Both of these menus will work perfectly with the DATS Matrix Universal Switcher any DATS Matrix Modules as well as any script that has a listener built in.
It is up to you to know what information the listener requires in order to perform a function.

This product is now Bundled with the DATS UMS-PRO so if you own this Universal Switcher simply look for the upgrade or ask me for this menu module.

Permissions and License:

The scripts are no Mod but are Copy and Transfer. All setup is done on a notecard(s)

In order to use this product in items that you sell, you MUST set the script's next user permissions to no transfer.

Look for this product in many of future DATS products because it rocks!

As with all my products, I provide support as usual so if you have any questions or concerns, simple send me an IM.

Difficult to understand
full star full star full star full star empty star Posted March 09, 2023 by VitaChristelle

This is not for those who don't know the scripting language in Second Life. The examples given in the notecard are completely incomprehensible. The notcard with the explanation says that we can change the textures, color of the item, and so on... But it doesn't explain how. I had to make a menu to control the lighting, the strength of light and color. But I don't know how to do it so that the menu script reads the data from the script that is in the same object. How do I specify a parameter from my script to the menu button ? I have to learn the script language for more than a week to get any closer to the result. I will give 4 stars to this product because apparently my knowledge of scripts is at a poor level. I would like the author would make a normal and very clear lessons on this product.

Lack of support 1 star
full star empty star empty star empty star empty star Posted February 23, 2016 by Shades Babad

I sent a notecard and message to the creator with a question on creating sub-menus. I would only have knocked off two stars for the lack of that feature to be honest. No one wants to scroll through endless pages to reach choices after all. I also knocked off two stars for the total lack of support for the product.

If there is an issue with any of my products, I make sure to reach out and correct it within 48 hours max, but normally within hours. So yes, lack of ANY support at all is why it received one star. This product will not be used and will sit in my inventory graveyard.
