Imagine you are sunbathing on your yacht, or worse, afk, and an un-invited stranger boards the vessel, Once a stranger gains access to your boat by sitting on the boat, he or she can change animations, open doors, windows, turn all electrical switches, turn the shower on, and generally create chaos. If that ever happened to you then you will know what it is like to feel completely powerless to do anything about that, You can't even stand up while at sea because the boat will get returned to inventory. Griefers entering your vessel during a race can cause you to lose the race as your cam gets reset while griefer tries the animation menu.
With the Dolphin Power Security by Dolphin Marine Services you are back in control. This intelligent powerful security system adds an access list to your vessel and was created from the ground up with user friendly operation in mind.
After activating the included gesture, you can use the default hotkey CTRL - (minus/negative) to activate the menu. This is useful when sailing so you do not have to type much. (You can of course change the hotkey to anything you like by editing the gesture.)
The whole system was designed from the ground up to be as intuitive and user friendly as possible and to require the least amount of manual typing. Just plug and play.
When you want a friend to sit on the boat one way is to ask your friend to touch/click the boat for a menu to request access. You will then be asked in a menu popup to allow your friend to board. If you answer [YES] your friend gets a message that welcomes them to board your vessel.
You can also use your menu to actively scan around the boat to find and add your friend to the access whitelist.
If an uauthorized avatar (griefer or impatient friend) sits down, he or she will be unseated, or forcefully ejected to 4000m depending on your settings, while you get a popup dialog asking if you would like to add that avatar to your access white list.
When you (the owner) answers YES, the avatar is sent a message that he or she is welcome to board. When the unsit/eject mode was set to strong, this invitation includes a teleport back to the vessel :)
You can delete a single user, or delete the whole list, you can set the security to soft or strong, these options seem self explanatory through the menu.
EJECTING: When you delete a person from the white list that is currently sitting on the boat, the user will be unseated automaticly.
LOCKDOWN: When you want complete peace you can sit on your boat with friends then put your boat in lockdown mode which will not allow anyone new to sit.
IMPORTANT! Note that this script is designed especially for the vessel named in the title and will not work on another vessel!
Please try the FREE DEMO script for yourself to experience the Dolphin Power Security from the owner side. (use Get the demo on this page)
You can also visit the 'See item in secondlife' link below, to try sitting as an unauthorised person in all 3 available modes, soft, strong and lockdown.
Instructions for installation:
1) Just drag the script from inventory over your boat and drop it!
2) Activate the included gesture.
3) Hit CTRL - (minus) to 'control the negative'. (phun intended)
From here the security operation should be intuitive and self explanatory and very user friendly :)
In the Dolphin Power Security Main menu will find:
[Soft] - Default security mode. Unsits gently.
[Strong] - Powerful security mode. Ejects to 4000 meters.
[!Lock!] - Complete lockdown. Sitting not possible. (See more below)
[Scan] - Scans around the boat for friends to whitelist.
[Manual] - Adds someone not in the sim.
[Help] - See below.
[List] - Show current white list.
[Delete] - Delete someone from the white list.
[Delete All] - Delete the whitelist completely.
Under [HELP] in the menu, you will find:
[Send Update] - Sends you the latest version while you are out on the blake sea.
(Never a need to leave the comfort of your vessel to retrieve an update from DMS!)
[Hard Reset] - Resets the script.
[Landmark] - Gives you a current landmark to our in world store, so you can always find us.
[Store] - Gives you the marketplace link and optionally the in-store landmark.
[News] - Oneliner with latest developments or news.
The above buttons with the exception of [!lock!] can also be used as commands when prefixed with /3 in local chat, like: /3 send update
Instructions for updating to a later version:
1) Drag and drop the script on to your TMS/Bandit.
2) Done :) If anything needs the be done, the script will do it for you, you just get it in the boat along with the older script.
All DMS script products will search for, and remove when required, existing versions of themselves.
(There is never a need to open and dig through the contents tab of your vessels inventory!)
Enjoy and please leave a review, its very important for new products and much appreciated. :)
Kind regards,

- Extremely user friendly plug and play operation
- Enables a security access white list to your vessel
- Automatically unsits the unauthorised gently.
- Can also eject a griefer 4000 meters in the air.
- Just one script, lightweight.
Good and useful, but not perfect and outrageously priced
This does what it says, and it has turned nuisance into entertainment, as I laugh when some would-we stowaway gets ejected into the skies. I almost want to ask them to try again as it cracks me up so much.
However, it has shortcomings:
- With nothing to click for the menu you have to either type a command in local to open it, or use an animation. Worse: the menu disappears after you click an item so you have to do it again. It should be possible to call the DMS menu from the boat menu by editing the AVpos notecard of the boat (the way it's done for the popular "it's not mine"" cleanup script).
- The product is not networked or web controlled in any way, and so there is no automatic way to share a list of banned avatars between different boats, or even between different copies of the same boat. So if you don't happen to pick up the last copy you used and replace older ones in your inventory, the access list won't be updated with your last guests. (For me, as I have dozens of versions of the same boats with different paint jobs, add-ons, custom interiors and so on, it's not practical, to the point that I just start from scratch each time with the security).
- Finally, it only works in one model of boat and yet the fatpack costs way more than a home security orb that has far more facilities, is easier to use, and can be used on any parcel in any sim, and may even have a web portal for control. So this product appears to be way overpriced. Personally I have three versions for four different boats so I paid almost 4 grand, and can't even share an access list between the different boat models. And I have some unprotected boats but the price of the fatpack is ridiculous.
Summary: Great idea, does what it says, reliable, and there is probably no other choice. But monopoly = outrageous pricing (comparing the price of the fatpack to the price of a high-end sim/parcel security device), and it's not as easy to use as it should be.
The Perfect Boat Security
Been leaving my boats moored up and many a time found them to have been moved or used, purchased this security and tested it out with a friend, he went flying when trying to get onto my boats, thank you big time, easy to install which does help.
Great
Easy to install , waiting for the first asshole to trigger themselves into orbit !
The ship is secured, Captain
This add-on provides peace-of-mind and simplicity when boating on SL's high seas - add the script & activate the gesture..that's it. I can relax on the deck or in the water without keeping a watch out for any surprise griefers. It's super easy to add a friend or visitor to the whitelist via the menu's scan feature (or at the prompt, when a newcomer sits) - or by entering an avatar's name directly before they even step aboard.
I'm so happy it doesn't have a constant HUD (my screen is chock full, already), but the Dolphin Power Security menu is readily available with the quick hotkey combo used to deploy the system (ctrl -) "control the negative". Any griefer who tries sitting without permission will be softly rousted without my involvement, by default - or can be orbited skyhigh while moored, if I so select. Beautiful!
It's an essential add on to any TMS boat, imo
Smooth sailing!
