Dugout Shipyard

A traditional dugout canoe, also known as log boat: the oldest kind of boat found by archaeologists, made from a single hollowed-out tree trunk,dating back to the Stone Age and common in Northern Europe, North America and Africa.

Rather than the animated and sailing canoe itself, sold separately, this set includes all the various stages of work required to create one, so that the creation of one or more Dugout Canoes can be enacted and RPed.

The first structure consists of a hollowed out log canoe laying on the ground,with an animation for standing over it and hacking down at it with stone axes.

The second is similar, but the dugout is suspended on wooden X beams and the worker sits on the dugout itself, hacking away at the final details.

Up to two AV can work together on the first two structures, sitting or standing at opposite sides of the hollowed out trunk.

The third has the dugout reversed over a smoky fire, that will finish the work and strenghten the interior part.An AV can stoke the fire with a stick,kneeling besides it.

Perfect for all northern to southern or even tropical environments that feature water, like tiki islands, rocky sea coasts, lakes, rivers and streams.

Trident has been designing and creating ancient and medieval builds since 2007. The inspiration for our work comes from our passion for medieval reenactment and research of historic houses, ships, furniture, jewelry and clothing.

Trident builds are fully supported and continually updated to increase detail and reduce prim count making use of custom sculpts and texturing, and unique scripts and animations.
