Basic controls and extremely stable over sim crossings. I was pleasantly surprised and recommend it highly. Nice work

A very good looking and flying plane

Everyone has their opinion, but that dumb review below nitpicking on lights and tire size only to reveal he had not flown it is ridiculous. I've owned this plane for over 2 years and have spent many hours flying her, so allow me to correct the record.

I love Corsairs. I love WWII era piston-engine planes, and the F4U is one of my favorites. The problem is there is not a lot to choose from unless you want a very antiquated model that does not handle sim crossings, and when you approach the scripter about it he acts like a jerk because how dare he makes updates to accommodate LL updating their sim technology. So, it's nice to have a couple of newer options in mesh.
The aesthetics are excellent. the TIRES are fine, and I don't care about lights being tied to whatever. There's a convenient pop-up menu when you touch the plane and using the simple chat-command layout is simple. Inside the cockpit, it's laid out beautifully with working gauges. it's cool having flaps, canopy, gear, and engine options via menu and hud.

Using in combat hasn't worked well for me as this one handles more like a comfortable and easy-to-fly cruising plane rather than a fierce fighter earning it the nickname 'Whistling Death'. Turning is smooth but thick, so don't expect a lot of yank and bank in dogfighting. On the flip side, this plane is very easy to control, so you are likely to handle longer navigation and landings thanks to the plane's resistance to overcompensating pitch and yaw keys. Some may like this for combat.

The price for EM's Corsair is very fair. I've paid more for much less in looks and performance.

The point deduction comes from the combat hud ending up in my lap instead of on my screen when wearing, and for a bad boy warbird sporting the fastest engine of its time, the overall flight simulation is more closely related to a piper cub or Cessna. This is still a good plane, is relaxing to fly and is beautiful to look at on the inside and out.

Good ...

what is wrong: nav lights are tied to engine, hence 'nav' command does nothing.
Wings and flaps are way to fast. Tires are to thin. Will bet that landing gear will pop off and pop back on when 'g' command is used. Have not flown yet, may rewrite this review later.
