Hello, I hope you enjoy my Type 02, 100% Mesh, Stair Pack. If you purchase the full permissions (Copy/Modify/Transfer) version, please respect the terms of the enclosed license notecard. The short version is that you may sell the objects in your own creations with Copy/Modify or Modify/Transfer permissions but __ NOT __ Copy/Transfer and __ NOT __ Copy/Modify/Transfer permissions. Also, you may not give-away or sell creations containing my creations for less than L$50.

Unlike sculpy technology, these mesh stairs scale (stretch) gracefully and texture gracefully. The initial scale is set to one half (0.5) meter per step and four (4) meters wide. So, the initial height (which will vary only if the builder stretches it) may be calculated by multiplying the number of steps times 0.5 meters.

The design allows the builder to apply separate textures to several faces (six (6) faces to be exact) on the object, as indicated by the initial color code applied to the objects’ surface. There is no need for UV texture-maps; because, the textures apply gracefully as may be seen by the initial grid pattern applied to the surface of the objects. These 100% mesh objects are much easier to texture than older sculpty technology.

If you don’t care about prim-count and level-of-detail (LOD), you can quit reading now. Otherwise, please be patient as I share some details. Up to a height of ten (10) stairs, the land prim impact (prim count) is one (1), and for those (i.e., 1-10 stairs) I used the highest quality settings available.

From heights of eleven (11) up to twenty (20) stairs, I am including multiple versions of these larger models to allow you (the builder) to make trade-off decisions. That being said, the close-up and medium-range appearance of the 11 through 20 stair versions is perfect even in the single-prim version. Builders using these on indoor structures should be happy with the one-prim versions of even the taller stairs (11-20 stairs) because the viewing-avatar will never be far away (due to being indoors), and so will never experience (or even notice) a level-of-detail (LOD) trade-off.

For builders who may use these stairs outdoors at the higher heights (of 11-20 stairs), I am including multiple models so that the builder may make trade-offs between (a) level-of-detail (LOD) at a distance, and (b) prim count. To be specific:

•A.) Stairs of height 1 through 10 are always one (1) prim.

•B.) For stairs of height 11 through 15, this product includes both 1-prim and 2-prim versions, with the 1-prim version being ideal for indoor applications, and the 2-prim version providing excellent LOD performance even at a considerable distance.

•C.) For stairs of height 16 through 19, this product includes 1-prim, 2-prim, and 3-prim versions, for the reasons previously described. Also, in the case of the 20-stair version, 1-prim, 2-, 3-, and 4-prim versions are included.
