EdenScape Backup Version 1.1

This is a lightweight version of EdenScape Creator tool for parcel owners and renters.

* You can save backups of your parcel terrain
* You can restore the whole parcel
* You can select the area to be restored by corner markers, or by giving the size and position

NOTE!!! You need to stay in the sim while the tool is terraforming the land.!!!!
This is a built-in restriction in scripted terraforming functions.

The tool has copy/modify perms so you can rename it by the stored backup and find your backups easily in the inv.

The attached file 'EdenScape User Manual.pdf' contains the user manual for the full version, with instructions listing the relevant sections for the EdenScape Backup users. Compared to the backup utilities in the full version, EdenScape Backup cannot be used to copy-paste terrains between sims; the source area and target area must be in the same sim.

Basic usage of the tool is simple:

1) Save the backup by rezzing a copy of the tool on your land and press 'Save backup' menu button, and wait until the menu appears again.

The sim and timestamp of the backup are shown as hover text; you can also rename the tool, like 'EdenScape Backup - Kuula 12.4.2011'

2) To restore the land, rez the tool on your land

* To restore the whole parcel, click 'Whole parcel' and 'Apply stencil'

* To restore smaller area, click 'Show corners' which rezzes corner markers showing the selected area. Move the whole area by moving any corner. Click any corner to switch to resize mode and move the corners to select the desired area. Click 'Apply stencil'.

The tool creates the terrain at 1x1 meters resolution (which is the SL terrain mesh resolution) and with 8 mm maximum error of the land height.

The speed of the tool depends on the sim server and load, in tests it has been between 8 and 25 square meters per second.

The area tool EdenScape terraform Stencil is included in the box.

NOTE Feb 2012. Some changes in the server code may cause the movement in the version 1.0 fail (if the parcel that owns the sim SW corner has object entry off). Please contact me if you have the old version and havn't got redelivery of the new version.
