EdenScape terraform Stencil
The stencil tool provides some simple terraforming operations inside a parcel or an area defined by corner markers. You can move the corners by normal edit tools to set the area.
The terraforming options:
• Raise: raises the terrain by offset specified by Set range option. The whole area is raised by a parallel shift, preserving all details on the ground.
• Lower: lowers the terrain by offset specified by Set range option. 'Raise' followed by 'Lower' results exactly in the original terrain.
• Level: levels the area on the height specified by Set level option.
• Bilinear: produces smooth terrain specified by the heights of the four corner markers. The terrain is bilinearly interpolated from the corners (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilinear_interpolation). The corner markers have a small horizontal patch showing the ground level. The corner heights are set in edit by drag-moving the corners or by typing the desired Z-values in the coordinate field.
• Smooth: smooths the area with strength specified by Set range option: the range defines the maximum change of terrain high and low values, in meters, with step of 0.2 m
Dialog Buttons:
o Set SW corner : sets the South-West corner of the area where the stencil is applied. The default position is the position of the tool when rezzed . The SW corner of the stencil is not changed if you move the tool. Options to set the position are the tool position and textbox to type in the coordinates
o Set level : sets the ground level for leveling and bilinear actions. The submenu has the following options:
-- Ground SW: sets the corner markers to the ground level -- 'Level' action uses the SW corner as the reference level.
-- Tool Z : sets the level to the tool position z-coordinate
-- Type level: opens a textbox to type in the level
o Set range : sets the height range for lower/raise and smooth actions.
o Set area : opens a textbox to set the size of the area
o ☑Parcel : sets the tool to process the whole parcel. All the operations are restricted inside the parcel even if the parcel is composed of several disjoint parts with arbitrary shape. Changing the SW corner or the size of the area clears the whole parcel setting, showing as ☐Parcel . If the setting is cleared inadvertently, just click it on again.
o Show corners : rezzes corner markers to set or check the position of the area. Clicking any corner toggles between move stencil and resize stencil modes.
o Hide corners : removes the corner markers.
o Apply stencil : starts the terraforming, with a confirmation menu to avoid accidental button presses.
NOTE Feb 2012. Some changes in the server code may cause the movement in the version 1.0 fail (if the parcel that owns the sim SW corner has object entry off). Please contact me if you have the old version and havn't got redelivery of the new version 1.1.

i am buying this on the recommendation of my landlord... i am excited!
my landlord and i have been struggling to get our properties to match as far as ground level. after seeing her use this on her parcels, i purchased one for me.
IMMEDIATELY!
this opens a new world of landscaping opportunities because i was SO afraid of touching my land, and then i could never get it flat again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank You a HUNDRED times Thank You!!
after creating yet another fiasco trying to use the SL land edit tool, i decided to get help. everyone said, "just use SL's tool! it is free!"
well, as they say-- you definitely get what you pay for!
i spent 20 minutes before the purchase and had no visible progress trying to level my parcels due to the interference of the neighboring property line... i would raise in one place only to turn around and find it was 2m higher behind me! argh!
in another 20 minutes, i had come onto MP, purchased, and used your Terraform stencil to completely level my property completely!
i cannot wait for another build to try the other settings, but i can tell you this right now:
L$100 is a very small price to pay for the help in leveling my property today. and in less than the 2 full days i was looking at to level it, since it is so large)
i feel you deserve a humanitarian award or something. ;-)
Amazing tool, incredible time saver for power users!
I've been looking for a tool that lets you pick an area and terraform it the way this one does for ages. I know you can do that with the SL terraform tool, but selecting things with the viewer tool isn't great if you want to match levels with another area. I dare you to start leveling something with your mouse and try to keep a straight line for long enough!
I love that this tool can just set a boundary, and then I can go for different heights if I require to go higher or lower as I'm building. This possibility of doing fine tweaks and leaving the tool while doing other things is great.
Last but surely not least, the bilinear feature! It allows you to heave each corner in a boundary at a different height! An incredibly useful tool for terraforming large hills or and slopes. It's almost impossible to make a slope look good in SL, especially if you're trying to do something that requires accuracy, like the terraforming under a road that is going down a slope. This tool is a true life saver when it comes to this turning hours of work into minutes! I'm not sure why other reviewers said that this feature isn't smooth because I'm truly astonished by how nicely it makes these slopes.
for 100L$ this tool is a bargain for what it does, you only need to give it a bit of time to understand how it works and have plenty of land to play with
It works pretty good.
I bought this way back in Sept 2015 and still have not been able to master it. Set to Level works perfectly. Raise and/or Lower takes some practice to get it right. Lately I have been using its Bilinear option and I have had some trouble since the PDF instructions do not explain why the corners sometimes move on their own when resizing. I would give this 5 stars but the creator has not logged into SL since 2017 and thusly does not respond for help. So let the buyer beware.
..Junk..
Yes It will raise and lower in vast areas for you but it is honestly junk. Do not let the images fool you of it being nice and smooth because it does not smooth nothing, The smooth button that is there doesn't smooth it to a flat surface.. It comes with no instructions at all so yeah good luck figuring it out. I had to sit on an empty lot and play with it for awhile to even figure out how to work it.. Save your money and buy something better..
just fantastic tool
just what I needed (even if slightly confusing at first)
