!This just in!
This stylish Lift is prefect for shops, homes or anywhere you need a touch of class to get up stairs. Fitting for Steam punk or Classical Builds.

A lot of time was put in to make this DIY Elevator fast and easy to install.
To show just how easy this is to setup and so you can judge if this is the right elevator for you I have posted as much of the manual that can fit below.

Prim Usage:
9 prims for the Lift plus 4 prims for each floor.
Total prims by number of Floors
2 floors = 17prims
3 floors = 21prims
4 floors = 25prims
5 floors = 29prims
and so on...

Size:
The Base is 4 meters by 4 meters, the height depends on distances of floors. Lift needs a minimum of 3.46 meters by 3.46 meters to operate.

Floor Limit:
You may have up to 12 floors. Having more than 12 floors will cause an error in the menu system, the floor calling will still working)

Height Limits:
It is suggested that you do not have floors less than 5 meters apart to ensure correct operation. Max Distance between 2 floors can but up to 32 meters. In theory the distance from bottom floor to the Top Floor can be as much as 100 meters. Depending on lag in the sim this may be less.

Build instructions:
- Set the Base -
1. Rez the Elevator Base Section at the bottom floor & position it.
2. Close Build window
3. Click on the bottom prim of the elevator base.
4. Select the Name button if you wish to name the bottom floor

- Setting Floor Heights -
1. Click on the bottom prim of the elevator base and select Place Floor.
This will Rezz a Floor Marker piece.
2. Name the Floor (optional)
1. Click on the bottom prim of the Floor Section
2. Select name if you wish to name the floor
3. Move the Floor Marker up to your Floor. This is best done by using the move menu on the Floor Marker menu.
Advanced builders can select move from the Build menu to move the Floor Marker Sections up and down. However, the built-in Move option auto-aligns the prims.
4. Rotate the Floor Section. This is best done by the rotate menu on the Floor Section menu.
Advanced builders can select rotate from the Build menu to move the Floor Marker Section up and down. However, the built-in Rotate option auto-rotates the prims 90 degrees.
5. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for each floor (12 floor Limit)
NOTE: The Shaft will built itself to fill in any gaps! These means you only have to rez Floor Sections only for the floors, ** NOT ** to make a continuous shaft.

- Finalize the Build -
1. Click on the bottom prim of the elevator base and select Build
!!! Do not click on any part of the Elevator while it builds!!!
NOTE: This will LOCK the Menu!
*** If you need to make any adjustments, or you need to re-do it, click the RESET button. ***
2. Wait for Elevator to finish building and state that it is ready (Takes 15 to 20 seconds)
!!! Do not click on any part of the Elevator while it builds!!!

Operating Instructions:
1. Click on the door of the floor you are on to call the elevator to you
2. When door opens step inside
3. Click on one of the two control panels (at the corners of the elevator)
4. Selector your floor from the popup menu
5. Lift will move to selected floor.
6. Wait for Door to open

Floor Naming:
You are able to set your own names for each floor. If you do not want to name all or any of the floors, The elevator will auto generate the floor name/number based off of its position. Floor 1 being at the bottom and counting up with each higher floor. Floor Names are limited to 12 character or less.

Position:
The elevator shaft must be keep in prefect alignment to ensure smooth running of your elevator. Once you have the base set out at the bottom floor it is suggested to not move the elevator or any of its parts. Each floor will be provided with its own menu system to allow you to position the floor with fast and fine alignment.

Rotation:
You may rotate the base before you put out any floors. The floors will be rezzed in alignment with the base. you may have Floors opening to different sides. Use the Floor menu to Rotate which way the floor faces. To ensure your floor aligns with the rest of elevator do not rotate floors using the build tools. The menu system will provide you with the rotates that will work.

Moving or Changing a Built Elevator:
It is not suggested that you change or move any part of the elevator after it has run the build function. This will likely break the elevator. It is recommended that you reset the elevator, move to the new position and go through the setup again.
*For advance user: You can move the elevator in the x and y directions also long as you keep the elevator align. Do not change any part of the Z position or the Elevator will not function properly*

Setting this up was incredibly easy. The instructions are all there, plus some.

Given the capabilities of other elevators in SL, it's worth noting that this one does require a shaft just like a normal physical elevator.

However, if you are building, dont you want the elevator to work and look like a real elevator? This fits the bill perfectly :)

The Best Elevator I've Ever Used
full star full star full star full star full star Posted August 02, 2017 by Crim Mip

I've worked with a number of other elevator systems from some well known makers. They are generally either a pain to set up, or glitchy in use. I saw this at a place I started DJing and tried it out. It worked really well. When I looked it up here on the MP, the setup looked ridiculously easy. I recently started a build and realized this would work for it which gave me the excuse to buy it. I'm very glad I did.

The set up for this is just as easy as it looks. There's no need to worry if the distances beetween floors are different. Just place the floor pieces where they need to be. Name them. Set their rotation (more on this in a minute), and then click build. You have a perfectly working elevator.

About that rotate feature. Any side of each floor can be set to the side that opens. Need to have the ground floor open on one side and the rest of the floors open on the side across from that? No problem at all. I'm not sure this is even an option on any other kit.

Finally, the inside and outside of the elevator shaft can be textured as can the door. This means if you needed a more modern look or a sci-fi look for your elevator, this could easily be used. I'll be using a Gothic leaded glass texture for mine to match the build I'm using it with for example.

In sumary, this is an excellent product that does what it's supposed to very well and for what I consider a great price. Highly recommended
